Visiting California wine country has been on our bucket list for a long time. We even discussed this as a possibility when we were planning our honeymoon. When our long-time friend, James Allen, said he was available to host us in Napa Valley we jumped at the opportunity. It’s not everyday you get to rekindle a friendship while consuming delicious wine.
As I adjust my seating position so that the majority of my weight now rests on the left cheek, giving my right cheek a much needed break, I look at my wife. She hasn't driven at all and we’ve traveled over 14,000 miles! I’ve driven from Colorado to Alaska, down the entire Pacific Coast and now we’re in the southwest desert of the United States and this individual to my right hasn't driven a single mile.
Trip planning can make or break a trip depending on the location and length of time you are traveling. We have had the good fortune of taking trips all over the world before, typically in two-week increments. Having a general agenda for a trip is important but the ability to be flexible and improvise is the holy grail of travel.
