First week on the road – Complete success!

First week on the road – Complete success!

We are exactly one week into our road trip and so far it’s been incredible! We have been fortunate to visit with old friends along the way and had some great experiences.

We took off from Estes Park, CO on the morning of June 16th for our North American road trip. The dream we’ve had is actually here. The feeling is hard to describe. We are eager for this unknown journey, the vast area we are going to cover, and the experiences we will have along the way but we are also a little intimidated. It’s a very strange feeling but I think a natural one for a trip like this.

It’s All Happening

It’s All Happening

As our first blog posting we thought it important to share how we decided to kick off this traveling adventure, the hard questions we continually were asking ourselves, and how we bypassed the potentially negative repercussions.

As most people close to us know long-term travel has always been a dream of ours and a focal point of conversation over glasses of wine and beers for the past five years.  Previously, we had always made travel a priority in our lives and in our annual budget. This has allowed us to go on some epic trips.

In the past 15 months we have been fortunate to visit Switzerland, Paris, London, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Colombia, and throughout the USA – San Francisco, Savannah, Raleigh, NC, and Charleston, SC. Independently, Michael ventured to Venice and Katy went through out Germany, Czech Republic and Poland for her MBA program.
